Learn My Three Daily Habits that I do everyday for a Happier, Healthier You!

Our heart, both metaphorical and literal, plays a significant role in our well-being. While we often focus on maintaining our physical heart health, we must also remember to nurture our emotional and spiritual hearts, which is so overlooked. When I recognized my heart as my emotional base camp, I spent a lot more time looking at what was funneling in and out of my heart. Here are my three daily habits that can contribute to a happier and healthier heart, both inside and out.

1. Move Your Body

This is an absolute must! Your Soul is living in this beautiful vessel and it is your greatest transport! It’s time to start really understanding what that means. Physical activity is one of the cornerstones of a healthy heart as we all know. Regular exercise strengthens your cardiovascular system, reduces the risk of heart disease, and helps maintain a healthy weight. But it’s not just about the physical benefits; exercise also releases endorphins, which improve mood and reduce stress.

I don’t care how long you move, although I will give you guidelines in another post. Incorporating movement into your daily routine can be as simple as taking a brisk walk, practicing yoga, dancing to your favorite music, or engaging in a sport you love. Find an activity that brings you joy and commit to moving your body every day. My tip… Go connect with nature while you move, it’s a huge bonus for your heart, lungs, mind and Soul!

2. Breathe to Clear Your Heart:

Mindful breathing is a powerful tool for calming the mind and rejuvenating the heart. Stress and anxiety can take a toll on your emotional well-being, which can, in turn, affect your physical health. By dedicating a few moments each day to deep, intentional breathing, you can clear your mind and reduce stress levels. But when you intentionally send that breath through your heart, you are also pushing out stagnat energy and emotions.

Try a simple breathing exercise: Inhale deeply through your nose for a count of four, hold your breath for a count of four, and then exhale slowly through your mouth for a count of six. Repeat this process for a few minutes, focusing solely on your breath moving through your heart chamber. This practice can help clear your heart of worries and tension, add more blood flow, leaving you feeling more relaxed and centered. Out with the dark, in with the light!

3. Give Love Out to Others:

Sharing love and kindness with others not only enriches their lives but also has a profound impact on your own heart. Acts of love, compassion, and generosity release oxytocin, often referred to as the “love hormone,” which boosts feelings of happiness and connection.

Every day, make an effort to spread love and positivity to those around you. It can be as simple as offering a smile to a stranger, expressing gratitude to a loved one, or volunteering your time to a charitable cause. By giving love freely, you not only brighten someone else’s day but also nourish your own heart with the warmth of human connection.

Your Takeaway: Nurturing your heart, both physically and emotionally, is essential for overall well-being. By incorporating these three daily habits into your life—moving your body, practicing mindful breathing, and sharing love with others—you can embark on a journey toward a happier, healthier heart. Remember, taking care of your heart is an act of self-love, and in doing so, you’ll find yourself radiating love and positivity to the world around you.
